May has also been a huge month for Hoof and Souls! We were able to save 15 horses from slaughter. Of the 15 horses, 4 were adopted out. Traveler went to Jon, Pebbles and Tank went to Denise and Handsome went to Lisa. Scarlett went to her foster home with Jacqueline. Towards the end of this month, we received a very important message that there was a mare that needed emergency attention. Scarlets Legacy pulled the mare and Hoof and Souls picked her up and have cared for her since. She had a horrible cut on her right pastern. She is healing up great and on her way to a speedy recovery!
